THE GHYAN MADALI

We all are busy… Very busy… Frantically busy… Busy all through our days and nights. We don’t even sleep. If we sleep, we get up again and again… We can’t’ even eat, bathe, exercise or pray… We can’t even pay attention to those who are next to us… can’t even romance with our intimate ones!

We all are busy… Reaching out to the ‘distant’ ones… The ones who are miles afar… perhaps, in another continent… Most of them, not at all significant in our lives!

Yes, we all are busy typing, texting and messaging… waiting for their responses, likes and comments…  It is more important to us than a lovely kiss from our little one or a warm hug from our partner… who are there right next to us…

A ‘Happy Birthday’ has lost its happiness…
A LOL has no laughter in it…
A ‘R.I.P’, is literally ‘dead’… dead of sorrow…
A satsang at home or a darshan to a Deity is no more a solemn affair. It’s a something for public display… loud, vulgar.
A ‘God Bless You’ means ‘I want to please you’… ‘I want you to like me’… We bring in God to make it easy for us, you see…

We are busy on a hundred Whatsapp groups… and, we are busy as if the world will come to an end if we don’t ‘check’… don’t respond… to what is rolling on our screens…

Most of us are just gullible… busy copying and pasting… Our originality is gone out of our windows. Or, it has simply turned blunt…

Ghyan is what we all are busy giving, spreading… Yes, we belong to one global ‘Ghyan Mandali’…

If someone asks us about the ghyan we have just given, we don’t even remember it… What is given is gone… It did not come from us, anyway!

It is a great global pastime… No commitment is called for, you see. Just like that casual sex!

The real test lies in commitment… I said ‘commitment’. True friendship and loyalty lie in ‘commitment’… Text to your groups when your chips are down and see how they respond!

I am writing about it, today… because, I want to cut a lot of this ‘crap’ from my own diet.

And, I do not want any validation – ‘Likes’ and ‘Wows’ - for this.
