A nd, now I urge you to watch our own Hindi movie - 'Pink'. Watch it for Amitabh Bachchan... who, at 74, hungers for new challenges... who, in all his modesty, claims, “I look forward to 'work' each day... and I am grateful to the young directors who think I am worthy of that”... who keeps humbling us with his sense of professionalism... the sense of commitment and time... the passion, energy, dynamism and, above all, modesty... Watch 'Pink' for its gripping, yet simple, story... that makes us feel ashamed of our feudalistic, double-standard mindset... The way we treat women... the way we treat sex... the way we abuse power and law... Watch 'Pink' for the mind-blowing court drama...  Watch 'Pink' for hope, the triumph of truth...  And, watch 'Pink' for its young creators… I am not writing this Post to promote 'Pink'... It is not a review. It is a tribute to my idol, Amitabh Bachchan. He is 7...

THE HUMAN SIDE OF GREATNESS

Pic.:Internet L ast afternoon, my wife and I watched the English movie (Produced and directed by legendary Clint Eastwood and Tom Hanks in lead role as Captain ‘Sully’). As we came out of the theatre, we saw a very elderly couple who seemed to have walking problem. My wife and I offered our help to lead them till the lift. “Did you like the film?” I asked them. “Oh, yes, yes… Very much,” said the elderly man. “Our daughter from America called up and said we should watch it,” beamed the elderly woman. I instinctively looked at my wife and she had a broad smile on her face. “The same thing happened with us,” I told the elderly couple, “Our son called up and said we should watch the film.” A few movies have left me moved and inspired as ‘Sully’ has done. Most of us had read the news or watched it on TV when it had happened on Jan 15, 2009. But, none of us have a clue about the trauma and nightmare Captain   Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger ...
