NO PRICE IS TOO HIGH FOR OUR PEACE OF MIND

“If you want peace of mind,
stop fighting with your thoughts.”

Peace of mind has a price… But, it comes with no price-tag. And, no price is too high for our peace of mind!

If we understand the significance of these words – ‘No price is too high for our peace of mind’ – we understand a lot about life, living and, even, spirituality.

Money, that we are so preoccupied with, is too small a measure for peace… A few hundreds, a few thousands, a few lakhs and a few crores… yes, these are all silly measures. They simply melt away before that precious something in life, which we call ‘Peace of mind’. We learn to put behind us the memories of  our past financial losses, business betrayals and setbacks. Yes, when guided by the principle, that no price is too high for peace, we do learn to put behind us those painful memories…

It’s truly refreshing and relieving just to get blanketed by this grace… Money cannot be a measure for our peace of mind, even when it’s in cores!

Similarly are those silly, meaningless ego-hassles that we indulge in our daily relationships. Often, I have quit the bitter arguments right in the middle of them, when the grace has guided me to do that. Let me tell you this: Most of our arguments stem from our bloated egoes and insecurities. We are not able to see this reality – leave alone accept them – when blinded by our egoes and insecurities. Strangely, we carry out these ‘ego battles’ with our own people… who we call our ‘loved ones’! Yes, we all do it… Often, justifying it in the name of ‘healthy relationships'.

I think, it’s healthy as long as it doesn’t hijack our peace. If we are hellbent in winning arguments and ego-battles at the expense of losing our dear ones, what is so ‘healthy’ about it?

I repeat: In life, our peace has a price. But, it comes with no price-tag. And,, yes, no price is too high for our peace. I mean our peace of mind!

And, let me conclude this Post with what Amaka Imani Nkosazana said about peace of mind:

“When God takes out the trash, don't go digging back through it. Trust Him.”
