IF YOU STUMBLE, MAKE IT PART OF THE DANCE...
If, through our life-experiences, we are supposed to grow - become strong, mature and wise - then, there is no choice for us but to accept all our life-experiences – the good, the bad and the ugly. If they are destined to come in a parcel, so be it… Glory be to God!
Welcome, all my unpleasant life-experiences… And,
welcome with my open arms!
I was young when I first read in Napoleon Hill’s
classic – ‘Think & Grow Rich’ – his famous message:
“Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it
the seed of an equal or greater
benefit.”
Long before that, when I was still in school, I
would hear wise elders reminding us:
“Turn your
stumbling blocks into your stepping stones to success.”
When I reflect upon these gems of wisdom, I
get only more and more convinced that our life-experiences – yes, all of them -
are required to make us what we intend to become… to take us where we intend to
reach… That, we have to take them in our stride, make the most of them… That,
we have to be grateful in our pleasant ones… and, graceful in our unpleasant ones…
That, there ‘is’ the seed of equal or greater benefit concealed in every unpleasant
life-experience… every adversity, every failure and every heartache… and, we
need to uncover it… Yes, use our stumbling blocks as our stepping stones… to growth,
success and happiness.
No life-experience is, therefore, a waste…
no
stumbling… no stumbling stone!
Living is a
perpetual live-dance… The wise-words remind us:
“If
you stumble, make it part of the dance.”
No dance step has ever gone waste… It won’t,
ever!
