THERE IS NOTHING CALLED 'LUCK' IN THIS WORLD... THERE ARE ONLY COUNTLESS 'LUCKY BREAKS'...

“There is nothing called ‘Luck’ in this world,
There are only countless ‘lucky breaks’.
Only a man, who is ‘prepared’, is able to recognize them.”
In life, the less you rely on luck, the more it appears for you!
When you decide to
achieve what your heart really, really desires - and when you go about achieving
it with all your faith, passion and perseverance, with all your determination,
planning and team work… yes, when your focus is laser-sharp, your intentions
are heaven-clean… and when your trust in the goodness of people around you and
God above you is rock-solid, you will find no need to even think of luck…
Luck is that
mysterious blessedness – call it God’s grace, if you like - which your earnest
and committed heart is showered with…
Your dreams are not
your wishes. To dream your dreams, it takes a heart of throbbing-passion and a
mind of steely-determination… You need to be definite about your dream, you need
to possess in you mind the burning desire to achieve it, you need to have that
mountain-moving faith in your heart… and, above all, you need to be ‘there…
out’, working with all your sweat and tears… without caring for the time or the
immediate return… going the extra-mile, with all the zest your soul can glow
with…
Yes, such a heart is
what they call ‘the brave heart’… No wonder they say, “Luck only favors the brave’!
Dear, when everything else is in place, your mind, heart
and soul are all ready… The soil is prepared… ready… Remember, when you are
ready, the heavens will open for you…
And, because you are
‘ready’, you will be able to ‘recognize’ the angels sent by the kind heavens… They
are the ‘lucky breaks’ in your life… and, when you are really prepared, they
come in ample measures… Yes, they do, they do.
Don’t’ just wish;
dream. Don’t believe in Luck;
believe in being ‘prepared’ - being ready to
recognize your lucky breaks in life…
For heaven’s sake, dear, leave Luck alone… leave
wishes alone… For, Luck is a lazy excuse… and, you know what the old proverb
has been telling us:
“If wishes were horses, even beggars would ride them.”

P.S.:
In
the early 80’s, as a stranger and a struggling young-man in this big city of
Mumbai (then Bombay),
I was filled with self-doubts and fears. My self-confidence level was at its
lowest pit, and I was gripped with anxiety about my future. It was during these
harrowing times, I had found on the roadside an old copy of Dr. Napoleon Hill’s
inspirational classic – ‘Think & Grow Rich’…
My
life was destined to change, immediately!
I
have been so influenced by Dr. Napoleon Hill’s ‘Success philosophy’ -
particularly his famous line: “Whatever the mind of man can conceive and
believe, it can achieve,” - that it would be impossible for me to shed off
this influence all my life.
So,
as a young-teacher in his twenties, when I had scribbled those passages in the
little booklet ‘THE DAWN’, they loudly – and proudly - echoed the core tenets
of Dr. Hill’s life-lessons. What he had assimilated from the lives of scores of
successful people and passed on to us, I was now trying to do, in my own way,
to my students…
With
my deepest humility and reverence, I dedicate this book ‘THE ECHOES OF THE
DAWN’ - to the one who made me ‘Stand up’ in life…Dr. Napoleon Hill.
