The old saying, “A man with out a purpose is like a ship with out rudder” conveys it all.

If your Life is a voyage, then, there should be a destination where you are heading for. Else, you will find yourself at the mercy of the raging seas and the blowing winds… You will be tossed and turned, all the way, and you will never be sure as to where your voyage will end up, eventually…

“If you do not know where you are going,” the famous line goes, “any road can take you ‘there’!”

Well, the question is: ‘there’ means ‘where’?

Success in life is not about reaching ‘anywhere’… and, certainly, not by taking ‘any road’…

To be effective in life, to be successful and fulfilled, you need a clearly defined goal… a very constructive goal. A purpose… And, yes, a well chalked-out roadmap, too…

In fact, success in life implies setting series and series of your goals – small, medium and big – approaching them with all your heart and soul – with zest, passion and devotion … and achieving them…

Yes, it is an endless process of achieving one goal after another… reaching one destination after another… It is a life-long journey…



The purpose has power… It propels you to navigate in the right direction… It helps you channelize your energies, mobilize your resources and constantly enables you to align yourself…

Dear, remember this: the moment you decide on your destiny, the path is paved for you! The kind Universe conspires to work for you… It sends you allies to support you and cheerleaders to buck you up… And, yes, it provides you with the needed means and provisions to carry out your mission successfully…



True, you only need to know 

where you are headed… 

The world will make way for you!

In the early 80’s, as a stranger and a struggling young-man in this big city of Mumbai (then Bombay), I was filled with self-doubts and fears. My self-confidence level was at its lowest pit, and I was gripped with anxiety about my future. It was during these harrowing times, I had found on the roadside an old copy of Dr. Napoleon Hill’s inspirational classic – ‘Think & Grow Rich’… 
My life was destined to change, immediately!
I have been so influenced by Dr. Napoleon Hill’s ‘Success philosophy’ - particularly his famous line: “Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve,” - that it would be impossible for me to shed off this influence all my life.
So, as a young-teacher in his twenties, when I had scribbled those passages in the little booklet ‘THE DAWN’, they loudly – and proudly - echoed the core tenets of Dr. Hill’s life-lessons. What he had assimilated from the lives of scores of successful people and passed on to us, I was now trying to do, in my own way, to my students…
With my deepest humility and reverence, I dedicate this book ‘THE ECHOES OF THE DAWN’ - to the one who made me ‘Stand up’ in life…Dr. Napoleon Hill.

I was one of the lucky few to receive a copy of this little THE DAWN in 1988. Still touches our hearts. God bless you.
