FINDING OUR WAY

Mrs. Joseph had come to see me
Just a while ago…
She wanted me to teach her son, Jordon
For his crucial Twelfth,
Which he will be in the coming year.
“Sir, Jordon is a very intelligent kid, full of potential,”
Mrs. Joseph told me,
“He only seems lost… Not giving his best.”
She continued, “Sir, I want you to help him
Get hold of himself…Work to his full potential.”

I smiled and re-assured,
“Ma’am, don’t worry, Jordon will find his way…
He will work to his full potential.”

I told her about me…
How lost I was…
How I discovered myself late, and slowly…
How the pressure of proving myself to anyone began to drop…
How work became pleasure…
How motivation became as normal as my breathing.

“Yes… but then, sir!”
I sensed Mrs. Joseph wanted to tell me,
“Jordon is not you, not Gerry!”

I felt that anxiety of a concerned mother…
And, I told her in my heart:
“Ma’am, I wish you had met me when I was like Jordon!”
I re-assured her,
“I was not Jordon either…
I was miles behind him!”

Anxiety,Worry,Tension, Love...these are all synonymous in a mothers dictionary specially when it comes to their children...we want to protect them....We want them to be successful and Mrs Joseph was one of them..she is closely related to one of my good friends and i was fortunate to guide her to you...I am sure Jordan will find a new awakening , a new path to follow with you as his Guru, Friend, philosopher and Guide....Amen...

Hi Sonal, thanks not only for your comment... but also referring Mrs. Joseph to me. This article wouldn't have been there without u!

Your little 'Post' (It is much more than just a comment)... is a mother's real perspective... Who else can but u to vouch that!

I liked the 'Amen'!

And you must've written it just before you retired for the day!

The best way to wind up our day!

Love,

SIR

WE all have something special but we are unaware of that special thing. There is were a role of teacher comes into play.

Cautious and Caring how Moms are. But a right nurturing, right moulding and making conscious is something can be done by a teacher. Thank you sir for this sweet article.
