A RELIGION CALLED 'LIVE AND LET LIVE'

“We need a new religion, a global religion,
based on one simple principle: live and let live.”

‘A completely wasted life’. That’s how I would consider life of a person around me, who, despite the privilege of being educated and economically well-placed in life, hates his fellow-human… for whatever reason it may be.

Hatred doesn’t stop with hatred… It seeks to harm damage and destroy the person one hates. In my view, it’s the lowest form of human evolution… A misuse of one’s privilege of education… a complete waste of life, indeed!

Little kids are so lovely… so fresh and so unpolluted. They have no idea of what hatred is… yes, hatred stemming from cultural, social, religious, political, economical differences. I think, this state of being innocent is the one that we should try to nurture in us as we load ourselves with our academic qualifications and religious, political and cultural beliefs. When the innocence goes, goes the reverence for life, too… We become hard stones… Insensitive… We begin to despise and hate our fellow-humans!

And, to me, that’s the end of our education, and the beginning of the decay of life. A wasted life!

When people talk about their great academic degrees, I do not get impressed. But, if they have not lost their innocence and reverence for life and fellow-humans, yes, I bow before them. World needs more and more compassionate people, who can heal, mend, empower and enlighten… People, who know to live and let live.

What is the use of our PhD’s if we have never learnt to live and let live? A waste of our education, our privileges and, yes, Life!

I have written several times on this subject… and, I have called it ‘education of the heart’. Like or don’t like, only when we learn to live and let live, we are truly educated… truly evolved. And, such a fine education of the heart doesn’t need the validation of our doctorates… It just needs our reverence for life and fellow-humans…

That’s all!
