GIVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE

The Dawn Club PD-Programme (2013) will come to an end on coming Sunday. Our young-ones, who have been there, every morning and every evening, for almost two months now, are extremely excited. As usual, they have planned a grand finale in a nice venue outside and they are, now, busy preparing, practicing and planning for it.

Well, it will be their day… and, I want them to have an amazing time and remember it for a long time to come.

All said and done, they are just young kids. Yes, in the name of academics, we have been putting a hell lot of load on their heads… Now, in the name of the so-called ‘Personality Development’, behold! A hell lot of load again?

No, not here…

These young-kids had an eventful time out here… No homework, now assignments, to exams, and the best part – no punishment!

Then, what did they do, here, during these two months?

What will they carry from here?

How will their parents assess their growth, their change… their development?

Well, the young-ones, surely, know what they have done during all these days… They do know what change has come about in them, and how it has impacted their growth…

And, that’s more than enough… They will be able to communicate it to those who matter in their lives… by the way they will live!

We have prepared the soil, sowed the seeds, and, we have, also, nursed them with the manure of love, care and trust…

The rest will take its own time… The Gods and the angels will play their own roles… The seeds will sprout and grow into mighty trees in their own time…

Yes, everything will happen as it is indented to be…

I, for one, will only stand on the wayside and watch the beauty of this enfoldment of destiny… this magic and mystery of growth!

This morning, our young-kids were giving the final touches to the Sunday programme. They wanted to show me the entire itinerary… I was impressed. Of all the items they had packed for Sunday, I loved that one last song they had planned to sing as their Farewell song. Probably, they have sung it so many times, over and over again… They must have sung it in their schools and colleges… yet, they weren’t a bit fed-up with it. It was their unanimous choice…and, this morning, they were all singing:

Give me some sunshine
Give me some rain
Give me another chance
I wanna grow up once again

Na na na….Na na na….Na na na….Na na nana na…
Na na na….Na na na….Na na na….Na na nana na…

The movie, ‘3 Idiots’ hasn’t left any heart un-melted, any eye dry…

This morning, my heart melted

and my eyes turned wet, once again…

Perhaps, like those young-kids, like everyone else, I too was dying to sing… dying to cry out:

Give me another chance
I wanna grow up once again!
