THE PUPPETS OF SOMEONE ELSE'S GAME

“Until you realize how easy it is for your mind

to be manipulated, you remain the puppet

of someone else’s game.”

Evita Ochel

According to Darwin’s theory of evolution, we humans were once monkeys. In other words, we have ‘evolved’ from the position of monkeys to the position of human beings. Right?

But, had Darwin lived in today’s times – I mean, among a species hooked on to the relentless information and misinformation fed to it by media of hundred kinds – I think, the great scientist, perhaps, would not have given us that conclusion…

We have reduced ourselves to something worse than monkeys!

And, this degeneration has come about not over a ‘million years’ as Darwin and his fellow-scientists would have concluded. Instead, it has come about within a span of just few decades… Max two or three. Add one more, if you wish. And, after the internet came in, the monkey-hood of humans got complete!

The end of the world?

The end of right thinking, Sir!

The scary part of this story is this: we are unable to see the degeneration process that is happening right inside us!

We trust the TV or Social media propaganda more than we trust the good-old advice of our near and dear ones…

We are obsessed with what’s going on in the lives of others… Giving justice to strangers… Crying for someone’s blood… , In the process, literally turning ourselves into a lynch mob…

Yes, we don’t care for good-old friendships, the real relationships… We care more for the virtual ones…

We have become so reactive, that we are ready to slay decades of friendships in a matter of one toxic tweet or comment!

And, what got us here?

I wish, the great Darwin was alive today… He would have surely reserved his judgement!

I don’t know about the end of this world; but, I do know about the end of right thinking, Sir…

A friend of mine shared this video two nights ago. Maybe, there is nothing new in it…

Yes, maybe, there is nothing new in it!
