LET'S NOT STOP DREAMING JUST BECAUSE IT'S DARK
“If
you plan to build walls around me, know this –
I will
walk through them.”
Richelle
E. Goodrich
During
these dark times, if we have become numb towards several things in life,
including our dreams and aspirations, let’s remind ourselves, that we are not
alone… The whole world gives us company. And, let’s, also, remind ourselves,
that the dark times are not here to stay
forever… They will go… the numbness, too, will go!
The dark times cannot make the
mankind stop dreaming and aspiring… Nature amplifies it, so amazingly, through
the changing seasons. As individuals, you and I may not survive to see the new
season. But, collectively, we, as mankind, will survive!
Therefore, let’s not stop
dreaming and aspiring despite the pervading darkness. In fact, let our
commitment to our dreams double and triple… Let’s find new ways of staying
faithful to our dreams. This Pandemic has, certainly, opened those new ways
before us…
“Where there is a will, there
is a way.” We learnt this lesson as kids, right? But, whatever happened to this
lesson, now?
Have we lost our way?
The chances of achieving success
are very high, when the will is alive. Conversely, the chances are remote, when
the will dies. And, to keep the will
alive, we need to keep faith in Universe’s benevolence!
The dark times are the times
to be more and more determined – to build
our steely will. It’s the indominable will in our soul that translates our
dreams, sooner or later… Not our ‘wishes’. Haven’t we heard this: “If wishes
were horses, even beggars would ride them.”?
Just because it’s dark
outside, let’s not stop dreaming, hoping, trusting and striving …
This
little girl, apparently from Punjab, has found a new way to keep her dreams alive
through the Pandemic. But, is not staying determined and faithful to one’s
dreams an old-and-tested way?
Is there any other way?
This is Angelina Jordan. She
says, that she wanted to sing and shine right since she was a baby… Did she develop
the steely determination? Did she remain faithful to her dreams? Or, did she
simply leave it to the winds?
Yes, times are dark and no one
knows who will live and who will die. It’s perfectly understandable, Sir. But,
if we keep our dreams alive, backed by that steely resolve, we shall find new
ways of ‘living our dreams’ through these uncertainties…
We know, Edison had famously
said, “Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration.”
What we do not know, probably, is, that he had included Prayer in that tiny
one-percent!
So, along with our steely hearts,
let’s build the robust knees, too…
To pray!
